MigratePro Features

MigratePro delivers many flexible features to ensure your migration tasks are executed the way you need them. If you have any questions, we encourage you to Contact Our Sales Team.

  • One-to-One or One-to-Many Migration Whether you’re looking to retire an old file server or propagate shares to multiple file servers, MigratePro gives you the flexibility to migrate shares from one server to another or from one server to many.
  • Many-to-One Consolidation MigratePro also allows you to migrate multiple source shares into a single larger share for those seeking to consolidate machines to conserve costs, energy, and total servers used.
  • Migrate Shares, Local Groups, & Users MigratePro’s process of copying shares includes copying the share name, but also includes cache settings, share permissions, and the number of concurrent connections. Additionally, MigratePro allows you to migrate local groups and users, with options to ensure you share migrates properly regardless of whether the share already exists on the destination machine.
  • Maintain NTFS Permissions Ensure NTFS Permissions are copied to your destination(s) to preserve access to your newly migrated share.
  • Copy NTFS Compression Settings MigratePro provides options to maintain NTFS compression on the migrated file, compress all files, or compress none of the destination files.
  • Scheduling MigratePro allows migrations to be executed on-command or using the built-in scheduler. Whether you need to run your server migration immediately or consolidate your servers during the off-hours, MigratePro will provide the method for you to easily migrate and consolidate your shares.
  • Protect File Shares MigratePro can be used to protect file shares. Simply configure a Migrate job and run it on a regular scheduled basis. This will maintain all of the shares settings and data. MigratePro's rules do not delete files from the destination(s) when a file is deleted from the source, making it perfect for protecting file share data.
  • Open File Support Our open file technology ensures that you can migrate shares to a separate machine without having to close source files. Note: If you have files which are open locked or open exclusive, you will need to use Advanced Open File Support. For machines running Windows 2000 Server or Windows XP, you will need the Advanced Open File Support Add-on.
